SEVEN STEPS TO PREVENT CANCER
1. Don’t use tobacco
2. Protect your skin from the sun
3. Eat a healthy diet
4. Maintain a healthy weight and be physically active
5. Practice safer sex and avoid risky behaviors
6. Get immunized (HPV & hepatitis vaccines)
7. Know your family medical history and. get regular cancer screenings
Nearly 50% of cancer cases and deaths are preventable so early detection and prevention are the keys to mitigating risk!
WAYS TO DESTRESS AND
RELAX YOUR MIND
Although we are in a new year times are still uncertain so it is easy to feel nervous and stressed about what the future holds. These tips will help to destress and relax your mind, helping you put your body at ease.
RELAXING THE MIND
1. Take slow deep breaths
2. Soak in a warm bath
3. Listen to soothing music
4. Practice mindful meditation
6. Use guided imagery
RELAXING THE BODY
1. Do yoga
2. Take a walk
3. Have a warm drink such as an herbal tea
4. Take a rest day
5. Go for a massage
